Day 16 - November 15 - Luke 16

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=luke%2016;&version=31;

So today's passages are all about possessions.
1. Be wise and faithful with what God gives you (Luke 16:1-15)
2. Remember that earthly wealth doesn’t translate into eternal life (Luke 16:19-31)
3. Live your life with a grateful heart (Luke 16:11-19)

What is your biggest struggle with finances and possessions?
Verse 13 says: "No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money." What does it mean to you?

As often I as read the gospel, Jesus emphasis is the poor.

I struggle with realizing that I am rich. That compare to the rest of the world, I have far more than most people. That I might not be as sensitive as to the poor as what Jesus commands.

The rich is God blesses us to share with others. In the North America culture, a possession driven society, it becomes almost un-natural to share. To share to the poor. To give things away is almost a crime.

Earthly wealth might not translate to eternal life. Though one can use earlthy wealth and invest in heavenly treasures.
